Under the Decree No.15 of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute" (Ukrpatent), the revised list of the commercial services provided by Ukrpatent enters into force on February 15, 2017.

Among the changes is increase in charges. Thus, the fee for provision of a copy of the priority document will constitute 102 UAH instead of 84 UAH. The fee for conducting a trademark identity and similarity search as well as issuance of a search report for one class of the International Classification of Goods and Services has been raised from 720 UAH to 864 UAH for word and figurative trademarks and from 1440 UAH to 1728 UAH for combined trademarks.

The fees for accelerated prosecution of a trademark application have been changed as well, namely:

Acceleration of trademark registration to 9-10 months:

a) word/figurative trademarks:

• 2610 UAH for one class (previously 2172 UAH);
• 306 UAH per class in exceed of one (previously 252 UAH);

b) combined trademarks:

• 4698 UAH for one class (previously 3912 UAH);
• 480 UAH per class in excess of one (previously 396 UAH).

Acceleration of trademark registration to 5-6 months:

a) word/figurative trademarks:

• 4828.5 UAH for one class (previously 4018.2 UAH);
• 566.1 UAH per class in excess of one ( previously 466.2 UAH);

b) combined trademarks:

• 8691.3 UAH for one class (previously 7237.2 UAH);
• 888 UAH per class in excess of one (previously 732 UAH).

Additionally, we would like to inform you that for maximum acceleration a corresponding request should be filed within 6 months from the filing date. Meanwhile, a request for acceleration to 9-10 months can be filed after 6 months from the filing date.

Also, the changes have affected the fees for information services such as familiarization with documentation of an application, provision of copies of notifications and decisions of the Office, responses to objections of the examination board, fact sheets as to the state of trademark application prosecution, etc. You can see the revised full list of the commercial services provided by Ukrpatent here (available in Ukrainian).
